Tulip MONTREUX. The gentle pastel colouring makes it easy to blend with other spring bulbs and early flowering perennials.

                 TULIP

Montreux

Growing only about 18 ins. tall and like all double-early tulips the flowers are bowl-shaped, with a double row of petals.

Blooming early to mid-spring the large flowers are creamy white or ivory with a delicate pink blush and as they mature seem to produce a reddish glow.

When fully open on warm sunny days the mildly fragrant, paeony- like flowers often reach up to 4 inches across.

The gentle pastel colouring of Tulip Montreux makes it easy to blend with other spring bulbs and early flowering perennials.

Plant the bulbs 4-5 inches deep in fertile, well-drained, soil during autumn.

Performs best in full sun but will tolerate partial shade.

Dislikes cold conditions but can be forced.

Since it was first introduced the sweet fragrance of Tulip Montreux has ensured its popularity.

Remove the flowers as they fade to prevent plants setting seed but allow foliage to yellow and wither for approx. 6 weeks before removing it.

Ensure delivery of this very popular variety in time for the new planting season
