Jan Bos is a perfectly formed, early flowering Hyacinth in brilliantly rich cerise red.

First introduced around 1910 the perfume of this plant is simply breath-taking.

The flower spikes which are often 8-12 inches long together with the magnificent colouring help to make this hyacinth truly unique.

These bulbs have specially treated to makes them bloom early, a process usually described as “forcing”.

Supplied in September for planting in pots and growing indoors, they are an extremely popular and fragrant Christmas flower.

It is usual to plant only top-size bulbs in pots for indoors use.

Prepared Hyacinth Jan Bos should be planted in bowls of peat or bulb fibre, leave the top of the bulb just above the surface and then weigh them down with sand or something similar, this stops the roots pushing the bulb upwards.

Store in a cool dark place and water when required ensuring that the fibre is never allowed to dry out.

Once the shoots appear bring the pot/pots into a warm, light room and the buds will begin to bloom.

Hyacinth can also be grown indoors in a special container using only water.

Blooms should be removed as soon as they begin to turn brown.

Leave the stalk and leaves to die back so that the bulb can be used again.

In the unlikely event of a problem please advise us within 48hrs of delivery.  Due to the nature of the goods we cannot accept any responsibility for their failure after planting as pests, disease, poor horticultural practice, extremes of weather and many other factors outside our control all take their toll. Hyacinth bulbs will only be accepted for return after seller has been informed and given permission. Refunds will be issued after items are received back in a saleable condition within 14 days from original dispatch date. Buyer must pay all return charges except where an item has been shipped in error.
