LETTUCE Lollo Rossa

Lettuce Lollo Rossa is an excellent flavoured Italian type variety for cropping throughout the season.

A beautiful lettuce with brown or reddish tinged leaves that looks fabulous in the drill.

The thick crunchy leaves form to produce a strong frilled or curly round head with good holding ability.

Lollo Rossa is an early to mid-early variety of lettuce suitable for open ground growing and autumn harvesting.

It may occasionally suffer a little from bolting in long day conditions.

The time from sowing to harvest is 60 – 70 days.

A cut and come-again variety, pick the outer leaves as you need them for salads and the heart will continue producing more, giving you a continuous harvest over several weeks.

Very attractive, Lettuce Lollo Rossa makes an excellent and interesting addition to the salad bowl.

Some protection against slugs and snails is advisable.

Seed of Lettuce Lollo Rossa will only be accepted for return after seller has been informed and given permission.  Refunds will be issued when items are received back in saleable condition within 14 days from original dispatch date. Buyer must pay all return charges except where an item has been dispatched in error.
