Discovered by Kenneth Beckett at Arthur’s Pass, Canterbury, South Island, NewZealandNamed because of the appearance of the shrub when new growth is being made, where the fresh shoots appear golden yellow.This upright growing hebe has small glossy green leaves often with a thin gold margin and is superb for forming structure in the garden where evergreen foundation plants are required.A bushy shrub with white flowers from early to mid summer.Suitable for mixed or shrub borders.Also useful in containers.Grow in poor to moderately fertile soil, moist but well-drained in full sun or partial shade and it may eventually reach a height of approx. 1m.Fully hardy in U.K.Plants are supplied growing in a 9cm pot and are ready to plant out or grow on.
