Hebe cultivar of unknown origin named after Marie Turnbull, a New Zealand botanical artist.A beautiful neat and compact shrub which only grows to about 40cm tallThe tiny, thick, spear-shaped green leaves are closely arranged on reddish brown stems and the plant is smothered in pale lilac flowers in April and May.One of the earliest Hebes to flower this sun loving draught tolerant plant provides all year round interest and colour.Suitable for exposed coastal planting, it is an excellent choice for small tubs, raised beds, rockeries and the front of a mixed border where it associates well with other small plants.Winter hardy, “Baby Marie” tolerates full sun and sandy, drought-prone soils.Supplied in 9cm pot and ready to plant out or grow on.
