Berberis Rose Glow.
A compact, deciduous, spiny shrub with arching branches and typically only reaches 4-5ft. in height.
Berberis Rose Glow is remarkably similar to Berberis Harlequin.
Leaves emerge dark purple before becoming mottled pink and cream and finally turning a dazzling shade of red in autumn.
Berberis Rose Glow carries fragrant yellow flowers tinged with red in late spring and early summer and these are followed by dark red berries in autumn.
Makes an outstanding ornamental hedge or specimen plant and is an excellent choice for a low maintenance or informal garden.
The leaf variegation of Rose Glow can be improved by pruning in autumn or early winter.
Fully hardy, Berberis Rose Glow will grow and thrive on even poor soil but performs best on a moist, fertile, well drained site.
Will tolerate partial shade but best leaf and flower colour are achieved in full sun.
All pictures used are of mature plants in full bloom, they are for illustration purposes only and may not reflect the plant at all times of the year.
Our Rose Glow plants are supplied ex. 10cm pots, they can be planted out immediately but better results may be obtained if they are grown on for a short time in a slightly larger container before transplanting to their final growing positions.

We ask all our buyers to remember Berberis Rose Glow are living plants and their appearance changes with the seasons. Please don’t panic if the plant you receive looks different to the image on the website. This is quite normal and not a matter for any worry or concern, it is likely to be in perfect condition for the time of year. Particularly in autumn and winter many shrubs will lose their leaves and look rather bare, gaunt and stick-like and from August onwards many perennial plants may not even be showing above the soil.
