Tulip Schoonoord, a Double Early variety

Short-stemmed, Schoonoord only grows about 10 inches tall and blooms very early in spring.

Tulip Schoonoord has pure-white, fragrant, paeony like flowers and on warm sunny days when the flowers are fully open, the blooms may reach up to 4 inches across.

Like all double-early tulips, the flowers are bowl-shaped, with a double row of petals.

Schoonoord is reputed to be the best double white tulip by some distance.

Plant the bulbs 4-5 inches deep in fertile, well-drained, soil, during autumn.

Performs best in full sun but Schoonoord will tolerate partial shade.

Dislikes cold conditions but forces well.

Remove the flowers as they fade to prevent plants setting seed but allow foliage to yellow and wither for approx. 6 weeks before removing it.

Due to the nature of the goods we cannot accept any responsibility for their failure after planting as pests, disease, poor horticultural practice, extremes of weather and many other factors outside our control all take their toll. Tulip bulbs will only be accepted for return after seller has been informed and given permission for their return. Refunds will be issued after items are received back in a saleable condition within 14 days from original dispatch date. Buyer must pay all return charges except where an item has been shipped in error.
