FRITILLARIA Uva Vulpis.

Occasionally referred to as Fox’s Grape Fritillaria.

An easy to grow perennial producing sprays of beautiful, nodding, dark purple/brownish bell like flowers on slender stems in April and May.

To add even more beauty the flower petals are often tipped with bright yellow.

Fritillaria Uva-Vulpis are great at the front of the border or in the rock garden but they are very adaptable and these delightful spring flowering bulbs are equally at home in pots and containers.

Very attractive to many pollinating insects.

Needs a site with full sun or dappled shade, good drainage, add extra grit if necessary at planting time, they do not like wet soil especially when dormant.

Plant the bulbs around 8cm deep and 15cm apart, once planted leave to naturalize, they dislike being disturbed.

Although Fritillaria bulbs are fragile and need to be handled with care the plants are very robust and are often found growing in some very tough situations in the wild.

For longer lasting blooms feed every couple of weeks in the growing season with a high potash fertilizer.

In the unlikely event of a problem please advise us within 48hrs of delivery.  Due to the nature of the goods we cannot accept any responsibility for their failure after planting as pests, disease, poor horticultural practice, extremes of weather and many other factors outside our control all take their toll. Refunds will be issued after items are received back in a saleable condition within 14 days from original dispatch date. Buyer must pay all return charges except where an item has been shipped in error.
